Vsystem’sentry into the aerospace and defence market has been characterised by steady progress, combining technical development with certifications, personnel qualifications and accreditation by some of the sector’s leading global players, including Boeing and Leonardo.
A journey solidified by NADCAP accreditation for its TIG welding process, which makes Vsystem one of just 20 Italian companies – two in Emilia-Romagna – to be certified according to this standard, a fundamental requirement to operate in North America and thereby access one of the world’s most advanced markets.
Alongide the NADCAP welding accreditation process, completed in approximately two years, staff members have also undertaken structured professional development programmes.
These include the IWE (International Welding Engineer) qualification earned by CEO Silvia Gaiani, the aerospace welding qualification obtained by four Vsystem welders in accordance with European standard EN ISO 24394, and the aerospace welding qualification achieved by another two operatives in accordance with American standard ASWD17.1.
A pathway that has also led to the creation of a specific welding department for aerospace commissions, positioned in a dedicated area equipped with specialised technical facilities and procedures for use by trained personnel.
Without forgetting the communications activity that Vsystem carries out by participating in major international events in the sector, such as the ADM Aerospace&Defence Meetings held in Turin, Italy and Seville, Spain.
The next event on the Vsystem schedule is Aeromart Toulouse in France, taking place on 1-3 December.
