With this new accreditation, VSystem, a leader in the production of safety structures(Halo) and exhausts for motorsport, is ready to take on the challenging aerospace sector. It now holds all the cards to operate in North America, where the NADCAP (National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) prevails, granting access to one of the world’s most innovative markets.
Only 20 companies across Italy have NADCAP accreditation for the welding process, and just two of these are in Emilia-Romagna, one being VSystem.
A path of certified excellence
VSystem’s commitment to become accredited on the aerospace market has been unwavering for many years, with commissions in the satellite field and a place among the accredited suppliers of key players in the aerospace industry. Meeting the NADCAP standard is a natural step then on a Quality pathway that sees VSystem grow on every market in which it operates.
A growthpath for the company and its staff
The accreditation process, which took roughly two years, also involved a series of staff qualifications, which have contributed to boosting the company’s knowledge base. Among these, the IWE (International Welding Engineer) certification earned by CEO Silvia Gaiani and the aerospace welding qualification dictated by standard EN ISO 24394 obtained by four welders currently employed at the firm.
NADCAPin brief
The NADCAP program currently covers 10 special processes, known as Commodities. VSystem is now accredited for the welding commodity, one of its main specializations, further strengthened by this latest, significant confirmation. NADCAP is a global cooperative program that calls on the largest contractors in the aerospace and defense sector, the so-called Primes, to define a shared approach for the accreditation of special processes. The goal is to promote global,industry-wide auditing standards to promote the continuous advancement of processes in the sector at a global level.
